Chapter 175 Sunflower
Chapter 175 Sunflower
"You're finally back. I roasted some sweet potatoes for you. Do you want some?" Xu Zhiyi came over as soon as he saw Han Song coming back.
The sweet potatoes are roasted until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You can tell at a glance that they were cooked with great care.
Han Song raised an eyebrow, "Have you been roasting sweet potatoes here all this time?"
"Well, after all, I can't go anywhere." Xu Zhiyi looked at his legs, "I'm disabled."
"If your feet hurt, just lie down," said Han Song.
"It's okay. Where did you go just now? I didn't see you." Xu Zhiyi asked.
"Inspection." Han Song answered simply. Xu Zhiyi had already moved the sweet potatoes out from the fire with two wooden sticks, picked them up and handed them to Han Song.
Han Song didn't think about it and subconsciously reached out to take it. He obviously forgot that the thing was just roasting by the fire. The moment it touched him, he felt so hot that he almost cried out, and subconsciously threw the sweet potato away.
Under Han Song's shocked gaze, the sweet potato landed on Xu Zhiyi's clothes in a not-so-graceful parabola but accurately, rolling down the clothes and making Xu Zhiyi's eyes widen.
"Oh shit, it's so hot!" Xu Zhiyi didn't care whether his hands would be burned or not, and quickly moved the sweet potato away from his crotch and rolled it to the ground.
Han Song silently stopped the sweet potato that was about to roll away. It seemed like unexpected things like this would always happen when he was with Xu Zhiyi...
"Are you not burned?" Xu Zhiyi looked at Han Song apologetically.
Han Song smiled helplessly, "I just accepted it even though I was crazy..."
Xu Zhiyi coughed lightly in embarrassment, stretched his waist, and put the sweet potato aside again. "I'll give it to you after it cools down a little."
"Are you hungry? It's getting late." Han Song said.
"I ate sweet potatoes." Xu Zhiyi smiled.
Han Song didn't quite understand why Xu Zhiyi was always cheerful. Now that he knew Xu Zhiyi had feelings for him, everything seemed to have a reason. Was he trying to please him?
He took a look and found that Xu Zhiyi was not very active now because of his leg injury. He was more likely to chat with others, prepare some delicious food for himself from time to time, and water his roses.
With the arrival of spring, the woods began to come alive and all sorts of random things started growing.
Lu Xuan reached out and grabbed a monster's neck. In his eyes, these controlled monsters were like puppets, and the longer time went by, the more he could feel the meaning of these things' existence.
The body of the monster in his hand began to twist and deform, and its original bark-like appearance began to change into the appearance of the monsters he had seen before.
"It's still not enough." Lu Xuan frowned and threw the monster in his hand away. The monster's body hit the tree trunk heavily and died.
Wu Yang on the other side frowned and asked, "Don't you feel tired like this?"
"It's a bit stressful, but I wouldn't say I'm tired," Lu Xuan said. "These simple things don't even seem to be species. I don't know what they've become."
"I don't quite understand."
"To put it simply, it's like plasticine." Lu Xuan hooked his finger and a monster walked in front of him stiffly. Then its body began to twist and soon turned into a terrifying-looking object.
Its flesh and blood took root in the ground, and its skeleton grew randomly like haphazard branches. Soon it looked like a tree standing in front of Lu Xuan.
"Damn, what the hell is that?" Wu Yang got goosebumps when he saw it.
"Tree, uh...it should be a tree." Lu Xuan looked at the thing in front of him and was not too sure, because it looked really creepy.
"Lu Xuan, tell me if you are a dark person inside. If not, I will get some money to hire a psychologist..." Wu Yang thought he had a good psychological quality. After all, he came from a sea of blood and corpses. However, the tree that Lu Xuan made casually was really disgusting to him.
"You're the one with a dark heart. This thing can only be kneaded into a limited number of shapes." Lu Xuan said, "It's not real plasticine."
"This is too creepy, look at this ugly face." Wu Yang squatted down and pointed at a distorted face under the tree. He poked it with disgust. It had hardened and really looked like a tree.
"But to some extent, it's also quite... artistic." Lu Xuan said awkwardly.
"Abstract art?" Wu Yang bent it gently, and with a "crack", he broke a "branch".
"Fortunately, they don't scream, otherwise they'd scare people to death at night. But they're pretty tough." Wu Yang said, "You can just have some monsters build a wall around the base. It might be a little creepy, but it's effective."
"What if I scare people?" Lu Xuan frowned as he looked at his "masterpiece" in front of him. He felt so disgusted.
"It's better than being hit in the face by these or those lizards, right? They're much scarier than these little saplings." Wu Yang frowned as he thought of the lizards and asked, "What the hell are those lizards?"
"I don't know. Many of them have been killed by these guys." Lu Xuan said calmly, "The instructions given to Mantou are to treat them as the staple food."
"You're so mean." Wu Yang smirked, "Why don't you try roasting them and eating them?"
"Stop talking, it's so disgusting. Who would eat this?" Lu Xuan said with disgust, turned a corner and walked directly to another place.
Wu Yang quickly followed and asked, "There's so much meat! Your rabbits aren't even enough to fill my stomach. They're gone in just a few bites."
"Ah! You stole my rabbits again. I said there were always a few missing when I counted them." Lu Xuan hit Wu Yang a few times in annoyance.
Wu Yang was amused. Lu Xuan's action seemed like a flirtation with him. "Your rabbits are fertile, and I mow the grass for them. Wouldn't it be reasonable to sacrifice one every once in a while?"
"It's none of your business. Just don't eat them all. If that doesn't work, go catch some more." Lu Xuan waved his hands helplessly. Wu Yang loved to eat and he couldn't stop him.
"The ones I roast are delicious. I'll roast one for you when we get back. I saw an ugly rabbit in that nest. Let's take this one." Wu Yang grinned, as if he had already thought of it.
"Are you talking about the fatter one?" Lu Xuan's mouth twitched slightly.
"Yes." Wu Yang affirmed.
Lu Xuan waved his hand. "Whatever you want, whatever you want. I'm keeping it for you anyway. Otherwise, I can't stand mowing the grass every day."
"Want to eat venison? I'll find time to catch some for you later. I saw a group of deer not long ago, often drinking water by the small lake in the south." Wu Yang pointed to the south. "If you like to raise them, I can get you some more deer."
"Bread always grabs these, it also shows its filial piety to us." Lu Xuan said that Bread prepares meat for everyone every day, so it must be said that he has worked hard.
Wu Yang sighed. "That cat is just trying to please us, afraid we might eat it. I don't understand how little animals can be so cunning. I haven't even touched that male, no, male tiger."
As they walked, they came to an open space. There were not many trees in this area, and at first glance, it was full of beautiful pink flowers.
"It's so beautiful." Lu Xuan sat down on the grass without thinking.
Wu Yang was startled, thinking someone had fallen, but when he saw Lu Xuan sitting down, he was speechless. He squatted down and pushed his back.
"What if I lose control of my strength and kick you away while you're sitting like that?" Wu Yang asked.
"Then just cry." Lu Xuan's mouth corners slightly raised.
The sunlight fell on Lu Xuan's body, and Wu Yang looked a little dazed. He reached out from behind Lu Xuan to hold his waist, and then leaned his head on his shoulder.
"I really want time to freeze like this." Wu Yang kissed Lu Xuan's neck, "I can't bear to see you suffer, and I can't bear to see you sacrifice anything."
Lu Xuan didn't say anything but kept smiling, like a sunflower, blooming warmly in the sunshine.
