Chapter 199: Disappeared for a Period of Time
Chapter 199: Disappeared for a Period of Time
The pickup truck was driving on the road. Maggie drove all the way to a section of the road where there were no zombies, and then everyone stopped to communicate.
"Maggie, where have you been!? We were almost dead." Sean said with a complaint.
Maggie held a lady's cigarette in her mouth, and Glenn swallowed his saliva and helped her light it up honestly. He knew that his wife was also unhappy.
"We encountered a group of thugs and killed them, then came to find you," Maggie explained.
Glenn added quietly in his heart that he and Maggie were surrounded by thugs in a convenience store just when they were halfway through their action, and Maggie was now extremely angry.
"What about you guys? What's going on? There were clearly no zombies on the street before." Maggie turned and looked at Sean in the back seat.
Rick and Sean shook their heads. While they were chatting in the bar, they heard noises on the street. Then the door of the bar was broken open by a group of brutal zombies. The zombies appeared later.
"The brutal zombies have a hunting mentality. They know how to hide and look for opportunities. Maybe they have already discovered you."
Alan shared his information.
Maggie looked at Alan. She couldn't wait to scold her sister for leaving just a note.
"Stop, smell the fishy smell on you, you and Glenn..."
"Okay! I won't say anything more."
Alan interrupted Maggie's spell, and Maggie glared at him and had to compromise. In any case, her and Glenn's actions put Rick and Sean in danger. If Alan made it clear, the couple would lose face.
Ailan nodded with satisfaction, a rare smile on her face. She asked everyone, "Where are we going now?"
"Find a safe place to rest."
Maggie drove away from the zombies. They were human beings, and they did not have unlimited physical strength like the zombies.
"I agree. I have a headache now."
Sean picked his ears. The sound of the machine gun firing made him very uncomfortable, so he didn't wear earplugs.
There was a residential area nearby, and the group found a two-story duplex building to rest in. Alan contacted Abraham and told him that he would see them on the road ahead.
……
There was no conversation that night, except for the movements of Glenn and Maggie.
The night passed quickly, and the people who were hiding in the house to rest were awakened by the sound of machine gun firing.
The white light of the rising sun shone into the room through the curtains. Alan, who was still sleeping, opened his eyes instantly, turned over and touched the rifle on the bedside table.
card!
Alan loaded the bullet into the gun after loading the magazine, held the rifle, opened the gap in the curtains, and aimed at the street.
She saw familiar vehicles and Abraham standing on a military truck, shooting at the zombies on the street with an MG338 machine gun.
The zombie horde from last night should have caught up with them. Alan saw more than one brutal zombie, and many of them had signs of burning on their bodies, with their surfaces turned into black charred shells.
Alan picked up the intercom on the bedside table and contacted Abraham: "We are at your house at 10 o'clock. Do you need any help?"
Alan was visibly stunned when he saw Abraham standing on the military card, then he laughed and picked up the walkie-talkie to respond to her.
“No need! Rosita and I will kill all these bastards right away. I love this gun so much!!”
Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta——!
A moment later, Alan, Maggie and others walked out of the house, and a group of people walked towards the military card with rifles.
Compared to Maggie's vigilance, Abraham seemed much more casual. He even looked ashamed. After weighing the pros and cons last night, he finally did not help Alan.
At this stage, Eugene, who claims to be able to save the world, must be more important in his heart.
"Alan, your things are in the car."
Abraham jumped down from the military truck, stuck out his thumb and pointed behind him, and told Alan that he could take all those things back.
Abraham believes that Alan has found his team, and his inaction last night will definitely cause everyone to go their separate ways.
Alan looked at Maggie and asked, "So what is your purpose in coming out?"
"Of course, take you back!" Maggie said with her eyes wide open.
"Hey, I'm warning you, you're breaking the law."
Alan unceremoniously mentioned the most important person in the Destiny camp.
Maggie took a deep breath. The bill was promulgated by Zhang Qiang, and the legal system of the Destiny Front was still being improved. She was not sure what kind of punishment she would receive as the first person to violate the bill.
"Rick and I read the note you left, and we are also very interested in Washington."
Sean and Rick chose to stand on Alan's side. Aside from their age, Alan's support last night was quite impressive. The two brothers still had ambitions to take over the land, and they didn't want to just go back to Gran Town.
Abraham smiled widely after hearing Sean's speech. He introduced me, "We are also going to Washington! The person I am escorting is a member of the secret virus team. He has a way to deal with all the zombies!"
Abraham snapped his fingers, and Eugene poked his head out of the car with a confused expression on his face.
Rick and Sean looked at each other. They didn't know Eugene's specific identity, but from the few words Abraham introduced, it seemed that this guy was quite awesome.
"Ok, okay, we will go with you. But you have to listen to me on what to do."
Maggie pushed Sean and Rick aside, her face showing an expression that showed who agreed and who disagreed.
Alan knew that Maggie's personality had become overbearing since she became a leader. It was already very considerate of her to compromise to this extent. There was no need to force Maggie to make concessions.
"I agree."
Alan was the first to express his opinion that his sister was still very capable, otherwise she would not have developed Gran Town to its pre-disaster level.
When Abraham saw Rick and the others were about to raise their hands to agree, he immediately shook his beard and complained angrily:
"That's not fair! There are five of you!"
Abraham, Rosita, Gabriel and Eugene, there are only four people in the Junka team.
"Everyone has the same goal anyway."
Rosita chose Alan to stand aside. She patted Abraham's shoulder and stuck out her tongue playfully.
"Rosita...you...!"
Abraham closed his eyes in despair. Forget it, he had already punished Rosita, the traitor, last night.
"So ma'am, can you please explain what exactly you do?"
Abraham asked Maggie, he didn't want to be commanded by someone he didn't know.
Glenn stepped up to lick his wife at the right time:
"The Light of Georgia, the Destiny Position, the mayor of Glen Town and Collins Town, and she once commanded 200 militiamen. Of course, she is also Glenn Lee's wife!"
"Who is Glenn Lee?"
Abraham narrowed his eyes in confusion, thinking that this was another big shot from the Destiny camp.
"Uh cough...it's me." Glenn coughed awkwardly.
"So mam, you have so many people under you, why don't you send them here?"
Abraham paid no attention to Glenn's witticisms and continued to ask Maggie for clarification.
"I've already retired. Besides, Alan came out in response to the new law, and I can't send the militia to forcibly bring her back. If the higher-ups knew about it, I guess..."
Maggie's expression was serious. If they really did what Abraham said, she couldn't imagine how Zhang Qiang would treat their family.
"I received news that Daryl and Carol will bring people here soon. If you want to complete that achievement, we still have to hurry up."
Maggie said to Alan.
In fact, Maggie is still very open-minded. What Alan did is related to the glory and future of the Green family. Since she can't stop Alan from taking risks, it is better for the two sisters to work together to accomplish the historic achievements of the Destiny Army.
As for Carol and Daryl, they are regular troops...Once they arrive, most of the Green family's credit will be gone.
