Chapter 47 Rama Cauldron
Chapter 47 Rama Cauldron
Wu You remembered that there was a Luo Mo Cauldron in this tomb, which was eventually found by the people of Jiao Li Qiao who were hiding behind it, and they took it to form an alliance with Wan Sheng Dao.
Later, Li Lianhua and others went to great lengths to obtain this item.
Since we're already here, we're determined to take it; there's no reason to give it to someone else. But the prerequisite is finding the Rama Cauldron first.
Wu You then said to Li Lianhua, "I heard that there is a treasure in the tomb of King Fangji that can be compared to the Guanyin Weeping. Let's look for it. Although it is not very useful, if someone with ulterior motives takes it out, it can still harm the martial arts world. It is a small cauldron. Let's look for it."
Li Lianhua listened without asking any further questions and agreed with Wu You's idea. The two then began searching the tomb, and even Fang Duobing, who had returned, came to help with the search.
The group searched for a long time but couldn't find it. Just as Wu You was about to give up, Li Lianhua noticed a section of wall behind the pillar that was slightly different from the surrounding area.
Li Lianhua spoke up to remind them, and the group exchanged glances before quickly heading in that direction. After comparing the two, they did indeed find something different, but they didn't know where the mechanism was.
Neither Wu You nor Li Lianhua had ever dealt with a mechanism before and didn't understand how it worked. So, for the next while, they saw Fang Duobing fiddling around, testing various tools and fiddling with things.
Finally, after Fang Duobing knocked on the wall rhythmically, a sound like gears came from inside.
Before long, a long, gently sloping stone slab extended upwards, forming a stone gate. Looking inside, the passageway seemed deep and mysterious, its destination unknown.
"This place is dangerous, Li Lianhua, be careful."
Fang Duobing picked up a torch from the ground and stepped into the passage first, followed by Wu You and Li Lianhua.
None of them noticed that as their figures disappeared around the corner, a furtive person followed them into the passage.
After many twists and turns, the three finally arrived at the end of the passage. The end was slightly larger than the passage itself, but still not as large as the tomb chamber outside.
However, there was nothing there except a dusty box in the middle. It looked as if the outside was a warehouse, and this was just a storage room.
However, all three of them knew that the fact that the box was placed at the end of the tomb and hidden so deeply proved that what was inside was no ordinary item.
"Miss Wu, is this what you're looking for? Let me open it for you and take a look." Fang Duo started fiddling with the lock on the outside of the box to examine it.
"I've never seen it either, and I don't know if it is or not." Wu You's impression of the Moro Cauldron was only the one on TV; he knew nothing else about it.
After a moment, Fang Duobing put it down and said to the two of them, "This is no ordinary item. It will take time to open. I'll be quicker to open it with my sword."
As he spoke, Fang Duobing handed the torch to Li Lianhua, drew his Erya sword, and slashed at the lock on the box.
A burst of sparks and a loud, ear-piercing sound followed, and the rather unusual lock fell to the ground with a 'clatter'.
"It's open!" Fang Duobing said happily. He used the tip of the Erya sword to lift the lid of the box, and with a forceful pull, the box opened.
Li Lianhua and Wu You quickly raised their torches and approached. They saw that there were no gold or silver jewelry in the box, only a small cauldron lying quietly inside.
This should be the Luo Mo Cauldron that Jiao Liqiao and the others were looking for. The cauldron is not large, about the size of an adult's arm. The entire cauldron is dark red, and it is engraved with complicated Nan Yin script. The whole thing looks ominous.
Li Lianhua said, "Fang Duobing, you can take it. It's getting late, we should go out, and take the boxes outside with us."
Fang Duobing wanted to retort, but seeing Li Lianhua holding a fire in one hand and Wu You in the other, he stopped talking, put the Erya sword back in its sheath, closed the box, shook off the dust, and picked it up.
The three turned to go back, but saw two stone doors rapidly closing in on each other at the narrow end of the passage. Inside the passage, they could vaguely see a figure running towards the outside.
In an instant, Li Lianhua dropped the torch in her hand, grabbed Fang Duobing's arm beside her, and used her graceful steps to dash towards the closing stone gate.
Even with Li Lianhua's lightning-fast, graceful steps, she couldn't get out in time, pulling the two people along. By the time they reached the stone gate, the crack was only the size of a fist, and neither of them could get out.
Looking at the figure still running in the long passage ahead, Li Lianhua took out a silver ingot from her pocket, gathered her inner strength, and threw it at the figure. Just as the stone door closed, a scream came from behind.
The only exit had been closed, leaving the three trapped in the cramped space.
Fang Duobing hurriedly picked up the torch from the ground and looked around at the walls to see if there was any mechanism to get out.
After looking around, they couldn't see the slightest difference. Fang Duobing said dejectedly, "Now we're really locked up here. Everyone outside is dead. How are we going to get out?"
Li Lianhua reassured them, "The most important thing in the First-Rank Tomb is kept here, so it shouldn't be a dead end. We just haven't found a way yet. Let's take another look."
Wu You looked around and found no ventilation, so he quickly said, "Young Master Fang, please put out the torches first, otherwise we will all die in here soon."
Fang Duobing refused, saying, "These torches are our only source of light right now. If they go out, it will be pitch black, and how will we be able to see the traps and hidden weapons?"
"If you keep burning this torch, we'll be extinguished before the fire goes out," Wu You said, trying to take the torch and put it out. Fang Duobing stepped back to avoid him.
“A person can go hungry for three days without food, and this torch will go out in two hours at most. How can we die before him?”
Seeing that Fang was sickly and wouldn't listen to reason, Wu You was exasperated. This oxygen was something that couldn't be explained in a short time; how could she explain it?
Seeing this, Li Lianhua spoke up to help, "Let's put it out first. I'm feeling a bit short of breath. Is it because I'm anxious or because of the torch?"
Seeing that Li Lianhua was not feeling well, Fang Duobian quickly extinguished the torch. He walked forward in the dark, helped Li Lianhua up, and asked anxiously, "Are you alright? Li Lianhua, where do you feel unwell? Quickly sit down and rest for a while."
Wu You lamented that all his words were no match for Li Lianhua's single sentence.
Wu You straightened the box that Fang Duobing had thrown on the ground, then helped Li Lianhua sit down: "Sit down and rest for a while, then think of a solution."
Since she had spoken those words herself, Li Lianhua had no choice but to let the two of them help her sit on the box.
The surroundings were pitch black and quiet, without a sound or light, except for the voices of Wu You and the others echoing in the space.
