Chapter 141 An unusual morning
The next morning, Hedwig brought Harry's letter, and when Hermione broke into Aeris and Draco's bedroom, Hedwig was pecking Hermione's fingers persistently.
"Hey! Granger, this is the boys' dormitory!" Draco, who was awakened, said loudly in dissatisfaction after seeing clearly who entered the bedroom.
"Drago! It seems we need to lock the door when we sleep at night..." Aris said with a loud yawn.
"Your good friend has written to you," Hermione said while avoiding Hedwig, "Calm down, Hedwig, Professor Dumbledore doesn't allow us to write to Harry, oops..."
Aeris's raven... Eric flew in from the open window and landed on the headboard of Aeris's bed, looking curiously at the somewhat anxious Hedwig.
Hedwig seemed to realize that pestering Hermione would lead to no results, so she went back to pecking at Draco.
Draco, who was originally dazed, suddenly woke up. "Get out of the way, you stupid bird," Draco said angrily. "It's not my fault that I can't write to Potter..."
Hedwig flew towards Eris again, and Eris quickly jumped off the bed. Eric suddenly couldn't stand it anymore, so he flew over and started fighting with Hedwig.
"Stop it, both of you!" Hermione shouted anxiously, but her shouting had no effect at all. A black-feathered raven and a white-feathered snowy owl were fighting fiercely in this bedroom.
Soon, black feathers and white feathers fell down one after another. Ron walked into the bedroom sleepily. "What happened?" Ron asked in a daze. "Oh my god, what's going on?"
The fight between the two birds of prey didn't last long. Before everyone could recover from the shock, Eric had already pinned Hedwig to the ground.
Hedwig cried out in grievance, and the baseball-sized Julia (Ron's owl) also flew in, flying around above everyone's heads, chirping.
Eric glared at Xiaoju, and Xiaoju quickly flew into Ron's arms, not daring to jump out again.
"Eric, let Hedwig go, or I'll write to Ariana and have her deal with you!" Aeris said quickly, not wanting Eric to continue hurting Hedwig.
Eric shuddered, reluctantly let go of Hedwig, flew back to Eris, and chirped a few times with some grievance.
"I'm sorry, Eric..." Aris comforted his messenger.
Hermione picked up Hedwig with some heartache and comforted her softly.
Harry's letter was very short, with only one sentence, wanting people to tell him everything that was hidden from him, and the more detailed the better. Several people looked at the note sent by Harry and just shook their heads and smiled bitterly.
"We have to help Mrs. Weasley prepare breakfast together," Hermione said after comforting Hedwig, "After all, it's breakfast for a lot of people, come on!"
"What's wrong with Hedwig today?" Ron let go of Julian, who started flying around excitedly again.
"It must be Harry's order," Hermione said as a matter of course, "If he leaves you alone in a place you don't like, cuts off all your contacts with the outside world, and ignores you for more than a month, what would you do?"
"Eat well and get enough sleep every day," Ron said as a matter of course, "let's play it bad!"
Aeris was stroking Eric's little head and snickering, Hermione rolled her eyes, and even Draco couldn't help but roll his eyes.
The kitchen was located in the basement. It was quite a large space. Old Klecher lived in the kitchen. While helping Mrs. Weasley, he murmured to himself:
"Mudblood, werewolf, thief, shameful traitor... Not only did he defile my mistress's house, but he also let old Kleche serve him. Oh! If my mistress knew, what would she think? Master Regulus would also feel sorry for old Kleche, and old Kleche didn't want Master Regulus to worry..."
"Mr. Kreche," Aris stepped forward to help, "If you need any help, just let me know. You're welcome."
"You are too polite, Master Grindelwald," said Old Kreche respectfully. "You have allowed Master Regulus to return home. You are like a master to Old Kreche. I guess... if you have any needs, just tell Old Kreche..."
"Regulus must be against Voldemort," said Aeris. "If possible, Mr. Krecher, you can look down on and even resent those who come here and oppose Voldemort, but please stop insulting them, okay?"
"This..." Old Krecher pondered for a while, then said, "As you wish, Master Grindelwald."
From today on, old Kleche would indeed no longer insult anyone, but when he saw someone he didn't like, his mouth would move subconsciously.
"Thanks a lot, Aris," said Mrs. Weasley as she worked. "This house-elf is always giving me so much trouble..."
Breakfast was eaten at a long dining table that was large enough to accommodate many people.
There were two crisp "crackling" sounds, and the Weasley twins Apparated directly and appeared in their seats next to the long table. Mrs. Weasley glared at them both with dissatisfaction.
"You are adults and can use magic at will, but you don't have to Apparate even to go downstairs, do you?" Mrs. Weasley complained. "Are those two pairs of long legs of yours just for show?"
"Time is Galleons, Mother!" said Fred nonchalantly.
"Hey, Aris, man," George said enthusiastically, "when did you get here?"
"Last night," Aeris said, "did you pass your Apparition test?"
"Of course!" Fred said excitedly, "And it's a great achievement. The plate is flying over here~" A plate full of food flew accurately in front of Fred.
"Don't wave your silly wand about everything!" Mrs. Weasley roared, "Don't you have hands?" George, who was eager to try, put away his wand embarrassedly.
Many people had breakfast together. Sirius sat at the head of the table. After greeting Aeris, Hermione and the others, he ate in silence, looking somewhat worried and unhappy.
People that Aris knew and didn't know were all eating and whispering to each other. A pink-haired girl sat next to Remus, talking to him with a slightly pink cheek.
"A natural shapeshifter?" Eris murmured to himself after looking at the pink-haired girl for a few seconds.
"Aris!" Mr. Weasley sat in the seat next to Aris.
"Good morning, Mr. Weasley!" Aris greeted. Mr. Weasley sat down where his companions gathered.
"Harry has been formally prosecuted by the Ministry of Magic," Mr. Weasley said in a heavy voice, "The reason for the prosecution is: violation of the Statute of Secrecy and the regulations prohibiting underage wizards from using magic..."
"How could they do this?" Hermione said excitedly, "Even underage wizards can use magic when their own lives or the lives of Muggles around them are threatened..."
"But the Ministry of Magic does not admit that there will be Dementors appearing in the Muggle community," said Mr. Weasley, "let alone a large group of Dementors. Their reason for refutation is that Harry has hallucinations in his head and is not suitable for learning and using magic."
"It's ridiculous, isn't it?" said Draco. "Grindelwald and I saw those Dementors, too..."
"You are good friends, aren't you?" Mr. Weasley said, "I'm afraid the Ministry of Magic won't accept your testimony. They only prosecuted Harry, which is very telling. You also used magic, and the Ministry of Magic also knew that more than one underage wizard, Harry, used magic at the same time, but they chose to ignore it. They ignored the fact that you were there at the time. They will say that you gave false testimony for Harry."
Mr. Weasley finally said, "We can't involve you two in proving Harry's innocence, but don't worry, Dumbledore has done his utmost for Harry. At least Harry's wand was not destroyed yesterday..."
"That's really good news!" Ron said with some disdain, "Does Fudge only take out his anger on underage wizards like us?"
Mr. Weasley also sighed and quickly finished his breakfast as he still had to go to work at the Ministry of Magic.
