Chapter 505: The Abyss of No Return

Chapter 505: The Abyss of No Return

He knew he had to act quickly. Any hesitation could put him in trouble. He leaned down and gently pushed open the door.

The door opened silently, and Su Ming entered the room as swiftly as a cheetah. He didn't take action immediately, but stood at the doorway, quietly observing the man's every move. The man seemed unaware of his entry, still immersed in his pile of documents, appearing extremely focused.

Su Ming's heartbeat quickened. He knew this moment was crucial. He had to find a way to gain information from this man without exposing himself to the enemy's control. One wrong move would lead to another. Every choice was fraught with risk.

"What do you want from me?" Just as Su Ming was about to step forward, the man suddenly spoke. His voice was low and cold, as if he had sensed something. He wasn't angry, nor was he panicked. Instead, he seemed extremely calm, as if he had anticipated this confrontation.

Su Ming's heart trembled, and he instantly realized that he had been discovered. So, he did not try to conceal his actions, but simply walked in and closed the door completely with a light wave of his hand.

"It seems you've been well prepared for my arrival." Su Ming's voice was calm, but he couldn't suppress his inner nervousness. This man had long guessed he would find this place, and perhaps even arranged everything to welcome him.

The man raised his head and slowly turned around. There was no trace of surprise in his eyes, only deep indifference. "You've done a good job finding this place," he said indifferently, as if he were commenting on a simple game.

Su Ming sneered, "You know what I'm here for. There's no need to beat around the bush."

The man smiled slightly, reached out and picked up a document on the table, and slowly said, "Of course I know. You came here to know the truth behind it, right? However, you should know that no matter how much you know, it won't change anything."

Su Ming's eyes were fixed on the other person's face. He walked towards the table calmly and said in a low voice, "Then tell me what you think. It won't change anything."

The man smiled faintly, seemingly unconcerned with Su Ming's challenge. "Do you think you can control everything? Your every move, every decision, has long been clearly arranged. You are here just to complete this drama. You cannot change your fate with Zheng Yaoxian."

These words pierced Su Ming's heart like a sharp blade. Suddenly, he realized that he had been tricked by his opponent in this battle. But he didn't freeze in thought. Instead, a cold rage rose within him.

"Who are you?" he whispered, his eyes flashing with anger. "Why did you do this?"

The man raised his eyebrows slightly, a helpless smile in his eyes. "I don't do all this for any profound purpose. I'm just controlling every piece on the chessboard for a game that doesn't belong to me."

Su Ming stood in the dimly lit room, his gaze fixed on the man behind the scenes with a sharp, razor-sharp gaze. Though the man's expression remained impassive, as if completely unthreatening, Su Ming knew the end of this confrontation was imminent. A tense atmosphere hung in the air, as if a violent conflict could erupt at any moment. Su Ming's heartbeat, far from calming, intensified, as if he were about to face an inevitable decisive battle.

The other party's smile remained unchanged. He looked at Su Ming, his eyes flashing with an indescribable depth and amusement: "You are indeed smart enough to find out all this and even track us down here. But do you think you can leave?" When he said this, his tone was relaxed, as if he had already seen through the outcome of everything.

"You're wrong." Su Ming's voice was low, but his eyes gleamed with determination. "You thought you had everything under control, but you overlooked a crucial point: you underestimated me, and yourself." He slowly approached the man, his fingers lightly touching the documents on the table, as if fiddling with them unconsciously.

The man looked at him, frowning slightly, a flicker of doubt in his eyes. "Oh? Do you really think you can reverse all this by yourself? Let me tell you, this situation is not as simple as you think."

Su Ming ignored the other party's provocation, his mind rapidly calculating the development of the situation. Every detail became crucial. Suddenly, Su Ming had a flash of inspiration, and he turned his head sharply, looking to the other side of the room. There was a hidden door there, obviously not as conspicuous as the main door, but Su Ming knew it was the key to deeper depths. Without this door, he would never have been able to enter.

He took a deep breath, his eyes becoming more serious: "You're right, this is all very complicated. But you overlooked one point, I'm not alone." When he said this, there was a barely perceptible light in his eyes, which disappeared without a trace in an instant.

The man obviously didn't notice the emotional changes hidden in Su Ming's eyes. Instead, he showed a mocking smile: "Alone? Haha, Su Ming, you are quite confident. Do you think that you can challenge all this by yourself?" As he spoke, he stood up, his eyes gradually became cold, and the atmosphere instantly became oppressive.

"You think you can control everyone's fate, but you don't understand me." Su Ming's words were low and powerful. Although his voice was not loud, every word seemed to hit the other person's heart directly.

The man seemed a little moved. After a moment's silence, he sneered and walked forward: "You are indeed smart, but how can you understand that fate is cruel. No one can escape his own destiny after all." His voice was low and gloomy.

"Destiny?" Su Ming took a deep breath and secretly clenched his fists. "Some choose to obey, some choose to resist, and I choose to save." He spoke calmly, turning and walking towards the hidden door. Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat—he knew that every move he made at this moment was stepping into an abyss from which there was no return.

The moment he stepped through the small door, the man's voice came again: "Do you really think you can take him away? Do you think you can get him out?"

Su Ming didn't look back, his steps unwavering. The conviction deep in his heart, like a sharp sword, pierced through all the fog. Zheng Yaoxian, no matter what, he had to save him. Nothing could make him give up, and nothing could stop him from moving forward.
